[cobalt-users] Problem printing localy on Qube 3

Hi All,

I'm having a problem printing locally on my Qube 3 using OS 6.4.  I'm using a HP
Deskjet 990Cxi connected via USB.  The confusing but is that it works perfectly
sharing the printer to all the other machines on the network, they can all print
to it without any problems.  

The problem is that I can't print to the printer from from the console (cat
README | lp) it seems to ignore any carriage returns and tries to print the
entire file all on one line so i just get one line at the top of the page and
the rest of the paper blank!!

I've read all the man pages I can but still can't tell if this is an LPR, samba,
USB or Cobalt issue.  Does anyone have any idea's on what the problem is or can
at least point me in the right direction.
