Hi,
Is the customer using AOL. I believe they cache images and compress them.
I noticed the same effect when we did some testing using an AOL account.
There is an option in AOL to not use the caching system (I've forgot the
exact instructions).

Subject: [cobalt-users] Corrupt JPG files
Hi,
I am sorry if this is going to sound like a stupid question, but
sometimes
they have to be asked.
I have a customer that insists, that after a few days of being uploaded
to
the server some of his JPG files get corrupted. The images still work,
but
they seem to depreciate in quality.
I originally said that they cannot be corrupted by the server, and it
was more
likely his photo editing software. But he says they are fine on his hard
drive, as
all he does is reFTP them and they are OK for a few days.
I have a Raq 4 running all the latest patches, is it in anyway possible
that the
server is corrupting his files?
Many Thanks for your time.
H
