Ok, here's the situation now. I sucessfully uninstalled the old version of
mysql and made and installed a new one. I went to start and mysql crashed
on startup. But then I got this error message in an email from the server:
mysql is using 2034.9% of the disk space allocated on the Cobalt server.
Users are only allowed to keep a certain amount of data in their account on
the server; once that quota is filled, no more data can be stored.
I think that that's the problem, and the box definitely thinks so. In fact,
it was so sure, that the RAQ spammed itsself last night mercilessly and I
got an email from all my users today asking what they did wrong :) lol.
What should I do to delete the mysql user? Do I need to reinstall again
after I do that? If I'm right, deleting the mysql group and user and
remaking them should bring the db to life for me!
In addition, what do I do to turn of the perl DBI, and do I need that to run
PHP with mysql?
Thanks for all the help guys.
