He didn't say his machine relayed anything.  He said his return address
was forged.

I understand. I am getting what appears to be the same thing. BUT... they are adding a space after my domain. "user@xxxxxxxxxx ". I see them in the log all the time. They were getting through in the past when I had enabled relaying for domain.com. I used to get a few replies from refused clients. I didn't send them, but they came back to me. Now I just see them in the maillog.
