I did research and came to these solutions:
- Use myODBC (mySQL-ODBC) on your Windows
machine and connect to the remote mySQL site start
coding. When time is to publish I haven't gotten there yet.
I connect fine, and / but I am having issues with UltraDEV
not keeping the "connection" in the "recordset"
I tested the connection, before I was getting denied but
not I get "Connection Successful" but when click okay
UltraDev seems to not keep the connection active or
in memory in order to start working with Tables and
Queries.
- mm.mysql driver. JDBC or Java driver. I noticed
that I don't have that on my RAQ and doesn't support
Java drivers based on the ChilliSoft display.
So that's out of the question.
I got some quotes from the google search engine:

I am using Dreamweaver UltraDev with MySQL. You need to use a JDBC
driver
to connect to the database. I use mm.mysql driver. Try this link:

[/END QUOTE]
I am not sure what O/S he had, was it Sun, RedHat that supported Java
etc...
[QUOTE]
I managed to use UltraDev in conjunction with ChilisoftASP and
MySQL. The web server and MySQL were all running on a Linux
box.
You need to make sure that the MySQL client libraries are running
on the web server. I didn't actually create many asp pages...the
free trial ran out of time :-)
[/END QUOTE]
Same here not sure what O/S now I don't recall if ChilliSoft has
a trial version if this is what he is talking about.
IF I connected and the handshake went through okay I should look
into Macromedia "newsgroups" support for solutions?...
I've also spent lots of hours at book stores looking at PHP and mySQL
books... I couldn't find anything close to database design or ways
that I am used to on ASP -> UltraDEV (or InterDEV), or ColdFusion
code/server. I just can't handle to learn PHP right now.
Thanks,
