RE: [cobalt-users] Can I turn a Raq4i into a RaQ4r?

I'm not sure if earlier versions of Ghost will work with Linux ext
partitions or not. There are similar disk cloning software on the market,
but I've always error on the side of caution. I trust NORTON products. Ghost
usually takes about 10-20 minutes to clone a 40gb drive with about 5gb of
data.

Your test of #2 in #1 spot with clean disk in #2 is a good test and a
confidence builder as well. If that fails, you can always put the safe #1
back in #1 spot and start over. I can't imagine you'll have any problems.

Good Luck!

I will try it. I'll have to see if we have Ghost 2002 anywhere. Do you
strictly recommend that disk utility and version? Family here this
weekend, probably can't do it until the next. I guess I will quickly
test the now #2 hard drive in IDE1 spot with a clean HD in IDE2 before
proceeding with the Ghost, right? Just turn Email off in the Control
Panel before shut down and test to make sure no mail is received
during the test. Not worried about FTP during a test, it'll be the wee
hours of morning (usually Friday night/Sat morning). Just would like
to be sure the other is ready to come up if I totally hose the Ghost
process :(

How long do you think the Ghost process will take?
