And no the drives / partitions are not mirrored after reboot, unless there is a
problem

Not sure what you mean, if you are refering to mirroring at reboot
Yes, I think there is a problem if there is a long delay for mirroring at
reboot.

My comment was in reference to the drives having to be the same identical size,
I was merely indicating that its the partitions that are mirrored.
