I've seen this a few times lately.
Normally it boils down to a lack of memory. I would suggest you fill out
your raq to 512meg. if when looking at top you see the swap space getting
used, then it's time to get more memory.
I would shut down as much as possible by hand and then try to reboot it.
however it is common for them to not reboot until the power switch is
thrown.
