Re: [cobalt-users] FTP slow connection for each file, but file transfers itself are fast



I found that after the OS Update 2.0 + other patches on the RaQ4, connecting
to the ftp server was slow.

Adding this line to the <global> section of /etc/proftpd.conf did the trick
for me:
   IdentLookups of

The default(!) of proftpd is to try to connect back to any machine
connecting to get the remote username through the ident protocol.
