Micha, what client are you using? I had the same problem with one of the
WS_FTP versions.  If you're highlighting files and using the Arrows to
transfer, try simply dragging and dropping the files. That sped things up
alot for me since WS_FTP didn't have to log in EACH time you did a
transfer....it was annoying.
