Make sure on the page you want them to bookmark you have this piece of code:
<HEAD>
<LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://www.YOURSITE.com/favicon.ico";>
</HEAD>
And you favicon.ico in the same directory as the web page being bookmarked.
