[cobalt-users] RaQ3 - New Cobalt Updates/Patches - DNS Update& glibc Update

Hi Group,

Of course I would be the first one to ask if anyone
had problems with the new glibc update, and the first
one to actually experience problems with the damn
thing... 

Well in my experience (and this is a fairly clean RaQ3
with no extra goodies installed), when trying to
install the update via the GUI, I recv'd an error
message of:

error installing glibc-devel <blah, blah>

I checked the pkg and it has three RPM's, 

glibc-2.1.3-23.i386.rpm  
glibc-devel-2.1.3-23.i386.rpm  
glibc-profile-2.1.3-23.i386.rpm

When checking what did and did NOT go in during the
attempted install (rpm -qa), I can see that the

glibc-2.1.3-23.i386.rpm

RPM was updated, but the other two were NOT..  My RaQ3
still shows the older packages for the devel and
profile RPMS;

glibc-profile-2.1.3-21
glibc-devel-2.1.3-21

Soooooooo, I unpacked the RPM's manually from the PKG
in an attempt to install the two RPM's that didn't go
in.. 

rpm -Uvh glibc-devel-2.1.3-23.i386.rpm  

rpm -Uvh glibc-profile-2.1.3-23.i386.rpm

But nothing happens, no bickering about dependencies,
no nothing, they just don't install...

Anyone have any suggestions?  Won't --force break
dependencies? 

ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
