And I mainly use a Mac.
Are we talking PCL and or Postscript printers?
In general Macs don't do PCL. Also the Mac printer driver needs to be
network aware as an existing USB driver will be looking for a USB printer
... not a network printer. Perhaps Sun Cobalt have implemented Apple's "USB
Print Sharing" extension on the Qube so the USB printer appears in
"Chooser".
Its my expectation that Qube ends up supporting LPR print queues so on a Mac
I'd use the Desktop Printer Utility to create a "Desktop Printer". I could
then configure it as generic postscript or supply the PPD. I'd expect
desktop Linux should be able to use Qube3 print queues in much the same was
as a Mac ... identify the IP address and the queue name.
