Its a thing called "APC Simple Signalling Daemon" ... found it on the APC
Web site ... I don't use it ... I'm still looking.  <http://www.apcc.com/>
seems to be unreachable a lot of the time.

It is a SIMPLE daemon ... its not an application like PowerChute.

The MGE software <http://www.mgeups.com/> appears to be much closer to the
mark, but I've not used it ... just read the doc.
