Yes we plan to add memory and an additional HD. However, I found out from Sun that there is no "official" way to do this. They do not sell the wiring and bracket required to add a HD, at least that is what they told me. They told me that the Raq3i was NEVER designed to house two drives. If so, why is the upgrade mentioned in the manual? Service sent me to sales, sales sent me to service, neither were helpful. I don't think Sun knows what is going on.

We will probably purchase an after-market bracket and make our own cables if the existing power supply can handle the addition of another drive. I'm sure someone has done this, but no one is talking. -Reed

are you thinking about updating your raq3i? Because i was too, and I'm just wanted to get an idea of your plans... are you upgrading ram?
