Fadel,
It is because the reverse lookup takes about that time to time out. When an
incoming FTP/TELNET tries to establish a connection on a Unix/Linux system,
it needs to do a reverse lookup. (IP -> HOSTNAME). If you want to fix
that, in your
/etc directory, there is a file called "hosts".
Add your IP address into it
192.168.100.50 host.domain.xxx
