Re: [cobalt-users] email aliases on RaQ not working - "user unknown"... and now MX loop problem

I'm having the same trouble on my raq 2. I'm running the neo mail pkg. Am
not running reverse dns, am not running mx records, they should be automatic
(could be the problem) mail was sent to an aliased name, not an aliased
domain. Only have one server (just put into colo Monday). Am newb and
would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

Just put "sales" in his alias box

Just how many servers do you have?
How many subdomains?
Who hosts your dns?
Which Raq do you have?

If you have a Raq4, the site should be set up as
host: www
domain: carnoisseur.com
alias: carnoisseur.com
email alias: carnoisseur.com

Do you have another server located elsewhere for the mail at
mail.carnetonlinelimited.co.uk or is that an alias for carnoisseur.com?
the mx record just points at the server, if carnoisseur.com is serving the
mail it would be carnoisseur.com pointing at carnoisseur.com
If it is going to the other server it would be something like
carnoisseur.com points at mail.carnetonlinelimited.co.uk
