Yes, I just installed it on a different port than Cobalt's install. I've
installed PostgreSQL on the RaQ2, RaQ3 and RaQ4 with no problem.

As long as you configured it to use different paths than the current install
you'll be ok. You can always do "make -n install" to check what that step
will do without actually running it so you can verify it won't be a problem
before you run it for real.

IIRC, the password is located in /etc/cobalt/.meta.id. And in any case you
could change the access control in /var/lib/pgsql/data/pg_hba.conf
temporarily and then run pg_dump. Accessing the cobalt db has been covered
on-list so you may want to search the archives again. Maybe "cobalt
postgresql password" or something similar.
