I've compiled PHP with curl support on the RaQ4. Whenever I've done that on
the RaQs I've compiled libcurl from source and PHP from source. Hint: if
you want to use Curl to work with SSL-enabled files, compile it --with-ssl.
I don't believe there are any other configuration options that are needed,
though look over the available options to see if there are others you'd
want.

If you can find an RPM for PHP with curl support that will run on the RaQ4
you could give it a shot. I like the flexibility of installing from source
so I don't touch RPMs any more than I have to even though they can sometimes
save time. Maybe someone else can comment based on their own experience.
