I used to have the same problem but there is one very good thing with the
DW4 and its called Macromedia Exchange. That?s a place where people post
Extensions made to DW4 and other macromedia products, all free. And there
you will find a Set Permissions Extension, and many other nice extensions.

Go to macromedia.com and download the extension manager software and follow
the links to the extension area. tips: There is also one extension that make
http upload possible and you can also work/save directly on the web server
like FrontPage can do with it. All Free...
