I d/led the Cobalt 2.0 update to my hard drive and than I can
upload it to Maintenance->Install Software->Browse.
I did not want to rely on the URL and wait for it.
I also herd that is not good to do it a certain way because
it takes more of your O/S space which you don't have much.
Total Space Free Space % Used
Operating System and Programs 920.0 MB 371.0 MB 59.0
I am using 59% and I found other that use over 79 or even 80%.
Installing updates every few months or other pckgs can lower
the space... so is there a way to avoid that.
I thought of uploading the 2.0 update to /tmp directory on the
server. Will it take it in the URL i.e.: /tmp/RaQ4-en-OSUpdate-2.0.pkg
I don't want to go the browse and upload way because it will take
time to upload. I can also upload via ftp and make sure it gets
there and put it in /home/sites/home/web.
Than I can goto install url:
http://www.maindomain.com/RaQ4-en-OSUpdate-2.0.pkg
and hopefully it's local server and will install much faster. Way
faster...
There is no d/ling, bandwidth issue(s).
Thanks.
