Searching the archives now for the fix...just thought to see if anyone
else has this.

Also after the OS 2 update my custom error pages are gone and custom
index.html pages are now back to the cobalt default.




I may be wrong, but mine has always done this.
You can modify one of the config files, which may have been done and now overwritten. 
or
you can tell site admins to set their default directory in their ftp program to /web
