I sure hope you built both the sites and the users using either the
Cobalt Gui or the Cobalt command-line utilities before you starting
migrating data...

Recently we had a RaQ crash; we couldn't start it, so we had to remove
the drive, fsck it. It still wouldn't start in the RaQ, so we had to
move all the data.

Thought I was smart... I created all the sites and users exactly to
Cobalt standards, recreated everything manually, ran a new version of
meta-verify. Everything looked fine. But CMU wouldn't save the users.
So we CMU'd the box, rebuilt from scratch, restored the sites using CMU,
restored all the users manually but this time using Cobalt's gui. Then
copied over the data directories and email stuff. Now CMU works fine.

I'd copy /home/spool/mail and manually create all the links in
/var/spool/mail if you didn't use the gui or command-line tools. But be
prepared for a non-working system <frown>.

By the time we were done it took over 12 hours <frown>.

The migration utility is sooo easy compared to what we went through <wry
grin>. If only we'd had a working system to use it from <frown>.
