Re: [cobalt-users] Quick Mnogosearch Question

I decided against recompiling PHP for now, I've installed the old version as you suggested but I just get the error:

Warning: fopen("/usr/local/mnogosearch/etc/search.htm","r") - Permission denied in template.inc on line 46
Can't open template file /usr/local/mnogosearch/etc/search.htm

What should the permissions be to allow this to work, or is it a problem with my httpd.conf file?

All of the configuration options used in your existing PHP installation
appear in the phpinfo() output's configuration section. You can use the
same configuration options, adding --with-mnogosearch and any others you
desire. Or if you want, you can use an older version of mnoGoSearch that
doesn't rely on the PHP mnoGoSearch module.

If you're not comfortable recompiling PHP you may want to at least try to
get the CGI front-end to work before going through the effort to recompile
PHP to use the PHP front-end. You'll also probably need to grab the source
code for several libraries in order to compile PHP with the same
configuration options in your existing install since IIRC Cobalt didn't
leave all the necessary header files for some of the modules.
