Has anyone attempted (and been successful) at updating
Qpopper on the RaQ3's to version 4.xx? In a few days
I'm going to have an extra RaQ3 for a few days, and I
think I'm going to give it a try. There's one feature
in particular that looks sooooo appealing to me.. The
ability to set a minimum delay time between mail
checks (that's sure to make some of the James Bond
ghouls freak -gotta check that mail every 30 seconds)
-and- the time of length mail can be left on a server.
Don't these sound like FUN?
->Latest Standards - New standards and
->extensions designed to reduce support costs
->and improve operations:
->
->Support for RFC 2449, which adds a POP extension
->mechanism (including the CAPA command), and
->extended result codes. This allows a site to
->communicate policy to clients such as the minimum
->delay between mail checks and the length of time
->mail may be left on the server. This also allows
->Qpopper to tell the client more detail about error
->conditions, including suggested behavior.
All that and SSL... It has to be done! Has anyone
tried this update yet -or- offer some pointers?
Thanks
Chad
