Do you know which mails were the deffered ones? was it the last 2 or random
ones? might be btconnect doing an anti-spam thing and stopping you before
you nuke someone's (your!) mailbox. If your mailbox is on btconnect, it
might be bt protecting it's own customers.

You might try sending larger batches at once and see if it blocks all the
mails after the first 8 or so.
