When the RaQ is a DNS for external use (primary or secondary )you´ll need 53, too
You'll need 53 even if you don't run DNS on your own box. It has to communicate with the nameservers to receive mail etc..
You can set your firewall up to only allow connects to 53 by specific ip addresses though, makes it safer.
