[cobalt-users] Qube 2 keeps picking up router and dialing

Hi All,

Please could someone suggest what might be happening regarding a problem I
have with using a router with a qube 2.

I have had numerous problems trying to get an isdn internal and external
modem to work but decided a router was the best route to take. I have
however the following problem: I managed to get hold of an asuscom inet850
isdn router and have configured the qube and router as such:

I have setup the qube as being the dhcp server to the clients on the primary
eth port and also setup the qube as the dns server. I have setup the email
server to retrieve mail at 30 min intervals. So far so good.
I setup the secondary eth port to connect to the router. Cable direct from
port to hub port on router. I have then setup the qube to use the ip address
of the router as the gateway and access to the internet via my isp.

I have setup class c type ip addresses:
qube 192.168.1.1. Primary Dns using this and setup in dns panel.
Secondary eth port of ip 192.168.0.2 and router ip of 192.168.0.1 with no
dhcp server enabled of course. The major problem I have is that the qube
keeps picking up the routers isdn line and dialing every few seconds and I
am at a loss at to why this is happening. Please could anyone explain as to
what I may have misconfigured here.

Thanks & Regards,

Ken
