I assume you meant /home/log/httpd/adm_access

[elharo httpd]$ ls -la /home/log/httpd/adm_access
ls: /home/log/httpd/adm_access: Input/output error

This is starting to feel like a deeper problem, like a corrupt file 
system or hard drive.
