RE: [cobalt-users] Installing a different OS



I must wonder why also! 

Why pay that much money for a AMD system and toss all the
cobalt custom goodies out the window when for half the money 
you could build a Pentium 3 1 ghz system with more redundancy
and put redhat 7.x on it?

That seems to be a total waste of money to me.

Okay I have to ask.....
Why would you buy a Cobalt only to blow away what you are paying for?
Why not buy a 'white' box and do the RedHat load on there?
