Hi,
I'd definitely recommend replacing the fan if it stops, as powering
off/on is only a 'possible' fix, as I'd not guarantee it will start up
after a reboot.
It sounds like its either clogged (dusty server-room conditions?) or its
just failing, but as you say within 6months appears to be a defect.
What about cobalt warranty? (! Read previous posts !) They *may* help,
but to be honest we'd open it up and change the fan ourselves.
Temperature at 39oC seems fine to me, our Raq4 runs at around 35oC and
all fans are fine, so that's nothing to worry about. I'd only start
worrying if we were talking over 50oC in my opinion.
Anyone know the melting point of a 686 processor ;-)

Andy
