How can I get ride of the default page???? There must be a way to solve this! There is. Just delete index.htm from your web directory. Why? Because Apache is looking for index.htm BEFORE looking for index.html --
Actually that can EASILY be changed in srm.conf, but that is beside the point, it's the IDEA I was trying to convey and not specifics. Furthermore, I was only responding in direct relation to what the poster stated, and that her problem was that the default page came up by entering the domain and HER page came up when entering index.html...SO, if her problem is in fact that there are TWO index pages and her page comes up when entering index.html then tell me how the default page could also be the same file?
The poster may have made a typo and put an L on htm, or she may have bought a modified Cobalt. So you see, I was only telling her to check for another index page and delete it.
