I think you need one <smile>.
You can use anything from the absolutely free "ipchains" on the low end
(you do have to install it yourself, though), to hosting with a
colocation provider that offers a firewall on the high end.
Hint... we offer colocation behind a firewall, and we build our firewall
with "ipchains".

(We do add a few other things, though.)
