It's up to the sending server. Most servers on the 'net will try to
send for four days before returning mail as undeliverable, but will send
back a warning message after four hours.

It'll be delivered when the server comes back online unless DNS was off
as well. Just another reason to run DNS on a separate machine (as we do
<smile>).
