He, he...I get a lot of these vacation autoreponders aimed to the mailing
lists I run. I have a simple procedure; ONE of these sent to a mailing list,
and I run a script that unsubscribes the miscrient, and sends him/her a
message exmplaining how to set up an autoresponder that discriminates
_against_ mailing lists and other mail of bulk or list precedence, suggesting
that only when the user buys a clue is s/he encouraged to resubscribe. It
ain't zero-tolerance, but it's darned close. And that means if I ran this
list, Mr. Pennycook would already be toast, without my lokking a call on the
intranet (which is correctly lower-case, as is a private internet; only _the_
Internet is cap'ed).

And to shoehorn in some passing reference to lean this post toward being
on-topic (and failing miserably), I use the RaQ3 as my mailing list server
(using SmartList as the manager instead of the pre-installed majordomo, which
carries too much overhead IMHO).
Problem is he probably runs a Cobalt and is just using the autoresponder built in. All you can do is turn it on or off and insert a message. But then again, I don't see a way there to put in a subject line.
