This could be the case. With some ISPs (aol.com, while not truly an
ISP, is used as one by many, and is a good example) no matter what you
put into your outgoing mailserver field of your client, you still get
their mailserver. They filter and redirect. To be sure he's using your
server, have him send you an email from the same program and the same
account, and then look at the headers.
