[cobalt-users] raq3 email aliases

(sorry if this ends up appearing twice, I sent originally from
a differnt email account not subscribed to the list)

Hi all

I have seen various reports recently of isp's (in the UK) that don't
appear to be informing owners when a domain is up for renewal, and
just detagging it.

Today I saw in my sendmail logs a rejected message from an isp to
hostmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, as that alias didn't exist. Funnily
enough, with 20 minutes of me creating that alias the message was resent
and got delivered.

Anyone tell me where the default aliases brian adds to /etc/virtusertable
are kept? There appear to be admin@xxxxxxxxxx, sys@xxxxxxxxxx,
postmaster@mysite,com, etc.

It strikes me that I might be able to add "hostmaster" into this list of
automatically assigned variables, forward it to root, so I get the mail,

Anyone any thoughts on this, and ideas where to look? I suppose it might
be in the postgresql database, just havent altered the permissions from
crypt to trust and taken a look yet!

Cheers

Rob
