root /proc]# cat cpuinfo
processor : 0
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 5
model : 8
model name : AMD-K6(tm) 3D processor
stepping : 12
cpu MHz : 498.011856
bogomips : 992.87
temperature : 31.5
And IT IS possible.
With the old (very old) Trick.
Does anybody know what we have done with the old ASUS T2P4 or P55TP4N
when we want to use an K6-2 400 or 500. A wire in the Socket makes the
CPU multiplicator 3 to 5.
So my last posting is wrong. It is not the FSB. The Raq3 uses 3*100 Mhz.
So know it uses 5*100Mhz
You must search in the old Tunning Databases e.g.
http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/2828/
(Sorry it is in German)
I will post an example at:

asap
