Majordomo can handle that many emails.  I suggest that you estimate the
number of emails that will be posted daily to the mailing list.  If the
list subscribers were to receive 10 emails daily, the server would have to
send out 70,000 emails.  I wouldn't use the majordomo setup that comes with
the RAQ to handle that.  Refer to the majordomo docs to find out how to
optimize the performance for large volume mailing lists.  The server load
would not be too much as Sendmail monitors the load when it spawns
processes to do the work.
