In the parameters of the GUI I've setup email only to accept mail from x.x.x
and y.y.y.y where x is my local network and y is my home address however
I've noticed that I've been able to send mail through with other networks.
Looking at var/log/maillog I've seen that there are some networks that are
denied but there is obviously some that get passed through. What could be
wrong. What conf file can I check to see what's set up there?
I have also noticed these strange error messages:
Dec 11 16:06:50 alpha sendmail[6942]: fBBLrQl06937: fBBM6ol06942: DSN:
Service unavailable
Dec 11 16:07:41 alpha in.qpopper[7872]: (v?) Unable to get canonical name of
client x.x.x.x: Unknown host (1)
Dec 11 16:15:45 alpha in.qpopper[8401]: jenny at x.x.x.x (x.x.x.x): -ERR
[AUTH] "jenny": shell not found.
what do they all mean?
