Hi y'all,
A quick question, as I'm a little unsure, and haven't been able
to find any info in the subject...
On our RaQ4, I had installed the MySql 3.23.37 .pkg from
pkg.nl.cobalt.com, but have since upgraded ChiliASP to 3.6. There
is a sub note to the mysql link, stating that it won't work with
Chili 3.6.... and true enough, we're getting problems.
I was wondering if someone can reassure me that uninstalling
this .pkg version of Mysql, and installing the .rpm version from
MySql.com (MySQL-3.22.32-1.i386.rpm, or other, to be recommended)
is possible, without any major mis-configurations or similar
grief?? (Data is totally unimportant at this stage)
I'm a newbie that's having to learn fast the hard way, and I
know enough to be dangerous ;)
Just to be sure, current setup:
RaQ4,
ChiliASP 3.6
MySql 3.23.37
and most of the security/system patches from cobalt.com
Many thanks in anticipation,
Chris
