Hello,
I am new to my raq2 and to linux in general. so new you can still smell the shrink wrap.
Anyhow I want to install a program called w3perl.
It needs the program gd , libpng and zlib installed to make it work.
libpng has a linux version but its zipped. I thought
that linux/unix used tar.gz files ? how do I unzip it ? {http://www.w3perl.com/fly/index.html}
zlib has a tar.gz version. [http://www.gzip.org/zlib/] and does not say whether its a unix/linux or what version.
I also do not know the linux directory structure so not sure where i would install. like /usr/local/lib ?
thanks
bd
