Yes, sort of, admin is not the super user, but, from the GUI, admin is
more or less the same thing, if you telnet into the machine, it is not...

No, you are assuming the server is configured completly for those names,
it may not be ...

Then forget 'mail' and use 'www' make this what is in your 'accept email
domain names, make sure the IP address that this goes with is in there,
and sue www.domain.com for pop3 and smtp server names in outlook.

The confusing answer to this is, it depends, you need SOME kind of
authentication for access, pop-before-smtp is the easiest, but there's
also SMTP AUTH, which you want to use depends on the client.
Almost any client can use pop-before-smtp, tho it doesn't work terribly
reliabily with outlook...

Do one thing at a time, pop is much simpler, get that part working first,
in and outbound mail are totally seperate, fix one, then work on the
other.

admin/Controll panel/domain name server/add MX record :)
You may already have one if someone else configured the server, if not,
you may need to addone , host=domain.com , mail server=www.domain.com
I am assuming web access works, and thus, you have DNS setup already for
'www' ...
Last, but not least, as someone else pointed out, you might NOT be able to
use your server as an outgoing mail server for some customers REGARDLESS
of how you setup the server becaue some ISP's don't allow their customers
to use other peoples mail servers to send mail, to help control spamming.
[This includes aol, tho , at the moment , you seem to be one of the lucky
ones who can bypass their logging proxy]
