This is how it looks when raid *is* working.
[root /root]# cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [linear] [raid0] [raid1] [raid5] [translucent]
read_ahead 1024 sectors
md1 : active raid1 hdc1[1] hda1[0] 768000 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md3 : active raid1 hdc3[1] hda3[0] 205056 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md4 : active raid1 hdc4[1] hda4[0] 18869696 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md6 : active raid1 hdc6[1] hda6[0] 131456 blocks [2/2] [UU]
unused devices: <none>
Just in case someone missed the beginning of this thread, here is
what cat /proc/mdstat gives me:
[admin admin]$ cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [linear] [raid0] [raid1] [raid5] [translucent]
read_ahead not set
unused devices: <none>
[admin admin]$
Well, now I know that my RAID is defintely NOT working. Thanks for
the pointer in the right direction there. Now, can anyone offer some
suggestions to see why it is not working or someway I can kick start
it or fix. Any suggestion is welcome at this point, for I don't have
any myself.
Thanks
