RE: [cobalt-users] Pine: Strange Quota Exceeded Message

Odd question.. did you recently add any user accounts? Or have any users
with apostrophes in names?

I had a similar problem when I added my own account to all of my cobalts
(O'Shea). The GUI does not escape the non-alpha characters properly, and
creates unrecoverable corruption in the database. Cobalt tried to fix it
for several days, I finally ended up having to do a factory image reload
on all of the servers.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Pine: Strange Quota Exceeded Message

Accounts previously able to use pine properly have recently not been
able to write messages from the inbox to folders. Additionally,
procmail cannot either, both come back with Disk Quota exceeded
messages. the users and sites in these cases have plenty of space and
this has happened across many / all user accounts.

I do have Horde / IMP running and having installed Cobalt RAQ4
patches.

-------------------------------------
As usual, first I searched the archive, and this time I found the
following from a posting by CJR:

>I'm hoping someone can shed some light on a truly interesting
>problem that has happened on a virtual site.
>Users in the virtual site get a "disc quota exceeded" from within Pine
*only* when attempting do do anything other than read mail. If they try
to:
>a) send mail
>b) add a folder
>or anything else *from within Pine* that implies using a little disc
space, Pine complains that the quota is exceeded.
>The total site usage is 556K and the site quota is 20MB. Users have
their quota's balanced (of course) so that the total user quotas do not
exceed the site quota In fact there's a 4MB cushion between total user
quotas and the site quota, but somehow I just don't think this is where
I need to be looking for the answer.
>I don't recall any traffic on the list on this subject...quotas yes and
often, but not this odd quirky situation.Ideas? Suggestions? W.A.G.'s?

Anyone else?
Any solutions?

Thanks!
Tim
