Make sure both machines are on the same subnet, and a big key is to make
sure the raq can do a reverse dns lookup on your machine, define it in
the raq dns server just to get in and then remove it if you have to. I
believe this may help the situation. I used to have problems, it would
take a long long time to get it or would time out, and it was due to the
reverse dns. Added my address to the /etc/hosts file and now it is no
problem.
