That's odd we have the same issue.
We have developed an intranet product based on the Qube 3. One of the long
term mysteries in an otherwise very good experience has been the dreaded
missing graphics. Typically a complex page would have one or two graphics
missing in a random way. I always put is down to the browsers, but our
development servers (Compaqs) don't cause this behavior, so I assume that it
is the Cube. Strangely it seems to happen more the faster your link to the
Cube i.e. local lan to local lan seems to exacerbate the issue (but this may
be subjective because you can reload faster and maybe see it more often).
It is a very repeatable. We have tried all the standard fixes and drawn a
blank:
* taking out php
* taking out mySQL
* taking out of apache everything we can think of
* testing with a graphics test page (just a table with 200 small graphics).
The results are random i.e. from zero to 1 in 10 missing
* testing under load (made no difference)
* testing a variety of browsers. Opera had virtually no dropouts, IE 5.5 had
the most
* Converting the whole site to text only and issuing lynx browsers (joke!)
If anyone knows how to cure this annoyance we would love to hear about it.
