Hey Joe,
You might have to get in touch with UUNET/Worldcom....they seem to own
the .US domains.
We had a similar problem a few years ago, a high school wanted hosting
but required that their domain meet state requirements. Had to jump
through hoops of fire, but finally tracked it down to UUNET - who were
very helpful. Basically all they do is point the domain to an IP or
other domain name.
Here's a phone number:

Subject: [cobalt-users] .US domain Help please

We have just registered a domain couleedam.wa.us It works inside our
network
but I cannot get it to resolve outside
the network. Has anyone had this problem on the Raq I cannot seem to find a
way to do a whois on the domain to see if it is
if it has been registered properly.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Joe
