Hello
I have recently moved our sites to a new raq3. The problem I'm having is that every Saturday and occasionally during the week the
pop server seems to stop delivering email/or deliver very intermittently to accounts on the server. There are no error messages from
either the server and users email accounts are checked without a problem. However after rebooting the machine the server suddenly
delivers email which wasn't there previously and users are able to be pick it up. (I am sure that the email is being queued by the
providers as it is unable to be sent to the users email. An example of this was that a user received 200 emails yesterday!)
Prior to reboot I've asked a user to log into his email (having sent a test email previously to him) and I ssh'd into the raq and
tailed the mail log files to see if he is able to pick it up. He wasn't/it wasn't delivered. Strangely I do not get a bounced email
with an error message.
There are no obvious clues in the mail log files to say the pop demon is locked/down/gone on holiday - won't be back until after the
weekend so any help in this area would be appreciated.
Thanks
