This line is not needed in a .forward on the RaQs. In fact, the .forward
file isn't needed for your purpose.

procmail isn't run as a daemon. It runs only when an incoming email is
received. A lot of programs are this way. For example, majordomo (mailing
list program) only runs when an email is received for a mailing list and is
called by sendmail.

I had autoresponders working on a RaQ2 using procmail a few years ago. I
still have a RaQ2 in the office for development work. Here's a solution I
used on the RaQ2 and posted about in September 1999.
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=cobalt-users&m=97651500906317&w=2 FYI, it
would have turned up after a search for 'autoresponder raq2' (not in quotes
though) on the AIMS Group archive site for the cobalt users list from the
link above. Probably from the cobalt.com list archives as well since it's
the same list.
